Commenting system removed

Back to normal service.

I've removed it, as I didn't like it. Too slow to load up, I couldn't reply from my phone, and got weird errors. Have no problem with it on other blogs, just not for me.

Thank you for testing it out for me, people! And sorry to mess you around. I may try out Intense Debate, but might just stick with the normal thing - let me know if you have any special preferences.

  1. Commenting systems seem to vary blog to blog. I have disqus and love it and dont know of anyone that has struggled with mine and likewise I am able to use everyones blogs mostly! :D

  2. I loathe Disqus. I don't know if it is just me, but it doesn't remember me, I need to log on for every single comment that I make, and logging on has more passwords and things to fill in than I want to fill in. From a user point of view, the Intense Debate system works better for me - it remembers me for a start. But the normal comment system works well for me too!

  3. I'm not a big fan of disqus and prefer intense debate out of the two. I can see why people use it though.

  4. Oh dear.... Disqus is the one I use, after ID crashed my blog taking with it comments, links and a good deal more. Wonder why it won't remember BiB?

  5. Had the same problem with ID. Reverted back to plain Google commenting. Just sort the comments manually. Meh.

  6. I have no idea what all this talk is about. I just use the system that came with WordPress. What am I missing?

  7. Disqus works brilliantly for me on my blog. ID completely screwed with my blog settings and didn't show some comments depending where people commented from.

There is a chance that the settings on the Disqus website needed tweaking. I've also got "guest post" open so that people don't need to press millions of buttons or log in each time they want to comment :)
